Dreams To Remember – Memories from a Teenage Room (1970–1979)
by Matt Plezier
Dreams To Remember is the product of a personal inquiry: a collection of hidden stories, overlooked legacies, lineages, and cultural fragments told through the artefacts of a particular time and place: the Moluccan teenage room of the 1970s, of a generation in exile. By examining these bedrooms as “archives of the everyday,” this publication is an act of remembrance where material objects, histories and spatial practices sustain a cultural memory—a space where identity, resistance, and memory converge.
